Michael is an accomplished leader with nearly 25 years of experience spanning all aspects of oncology drug development, from discovery research and candidate optimization to late-stage clinical development, regulatory filings, and commercial launches. He has held senior roles in both large pharmaceutical and biotech organizations, including Vice President and program lead positions at GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Sanofi, as well as Chief Medical Officer at Scorpion Therapeutics. At GSK, Michael led the successful regulatory filing of trametinib and contributed to the approval of dabrafenib, transformative therapies for melanoma. His experience spans small and large molecules across diverse hematologic and solid tumor indications.

Michael earned his MD from Free University in Berlin, completed his hematology and oncology training at Charité Medical Center, and pursued a post-doctoral fellowship in Experimental Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
